ITA then ENG
- Per i precedenti episodi, vedi in basso ;) -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- ENG February's castles did not let me in, for a reason or another. I then respected their secrecy, although admiring their privileged gaze at the horizon. Another lesson to learn. - For the previous episodes, scroll down ;)

Oh, mirror in the sky What is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changing ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life? Well, I've been afraid of changing 'Cause I've built my life around you But time makes you bolder Even children get older I'm getting older too [...] L'universo in nessun modo è imperfetto. [...] (1989) ENG I've never been to Japan, although I often had the chance to get fascinated by it, despite the distance. Two words, with the relevant concepts, contributed to all this: - Ikigai: a word that means "a reason to wake up in the morning", the reason of your existence. - Kintsugi: art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum Sometimes I have the feeling that I grasped my Ikigai, for how difficult it would be to put it into words. Some other times I loose it, and I taste the emptiness that this brings, while in some situations I feel I found it but I cannot touch it, almost asymptotically. The art of Kintsugi, for its part, becomes metaphor of the potentiality of growing, evolving, thanks to the fractures and lacerations, research tools to be again united with everything else. Wherever I turn my head to, and whoever I meet, these topics get to me dressed in caresses on my cheek or in arrows in my back, in any case giving a deep meaning to everything. I play in a show of which I am a privileged spectator, and all I can do is bow to existence. ---------
"I became a hermit to free myself from the dust and the dirt of the world, looking for perfection on the other shore. But I realized that it was impossible to achieve it without loving even the garbage, the dust of the world, and life's anguish. Perfection can be achieved through embracing all things. While it is easy to fight against reality and fate, it is difficult to love them. What a beautiful world when you know how to love it! The universe is by no means imperfect. [...] Mountains, rivers, plants, universe. Here and there everything is in the same enclosure. To leave, is to arrive. To arrive, is to leave. Doesn't the wind blow as it wants in all directions? As my body returns to its original condition, blood and pus from my wounds will fall as dew from the night sky. After all, I exist nowhere in the universe. But in the universe, there is nothing which is not me." - From the movie "Why Has Bodhi-Dharma Left for the East?" - ENG In the buddhist teachings, three are the poisons that block our growth towards the liberation from sufference: hatred, attachment and ignorance (i.e. inability to perceive the true reality of all things, of the non-existence of an "I" and of a "you", that leads us to feel our happiness as the most important one, if not the only one). However, there are a lot of antidotes, otherwise we wouldn't be here to experience them. As a tennis player, I have always loved tennis, this solitary sport that sets its main challenges and obstacles in the forced pauses, in the thoughts and in the silent anguish. All these obstacles are very similar to the ones we encounter in our life in general. Thus I have tried to explain these three poisons and three of their antidotes with very significant videos, taken from tennis matches. I let the images do the talking.
