Ancora pochi minuti e finalmente sarò a casa. -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- "Dove meno te lo aspetti" (Intarsio di legno in un tempio buddista) "Where you least expect it" (inlay work on wood in a buddist temple) - (Mangal Dharmadweep Mahavihar, Bhaktapur, Nepal - 05/2018) -.-.-.-.-.-.-.- (ENG)
I have always believed that there's no need to become a monk or to travel long distances to harvest important teachings. The list that follows aims to show very short moments where, in the most genuine routine, extraordinary truths illuminated my astonished face. Try to imagine the lashing unpredictability with which these sentences arrived, like thunders dressed up like clinks. - Precious silence A walk with friends, on the snow. A mum asks something to the small daughter who, unenthusiastic, does not say anything. The mother accepted the missed answer, thus replying: <<That is not a problem. Silence is never wasted time>>. Deceptive expectations While I was shooting one of the picture I posted here, a woman wanted to tell me: <<It would be interesting to see if the picture really matches your expectiations>>. The woman walked away. By the time she was only few meters away, I had already extended her sentence to everything. Sweet harmless freedom I'm waiting for the tram. Just a few minutes and I'll be home. A man comes closer: white dirty t-shirt, a beer can in his hands, so drunk that ho couldn't say anything less than a sweet truth. <<Aaaahhhhh!!>> he sighs relieved and blessed <<When you are enchained, it's not pleasant at all. But when you are free, it's wonderful! Freedom is so beautiful. Though it's important not to harm anybody >>. I get in the tram, while he leaves, towards his next destination, most likely neither a tram nor a bus shelter. Perfection in the details Here we go back in time, on a sunday morning, 10-15 years ago. My grandpa came for lunch. The food was not ready yet, so he was enjoying a walk in our beautiful garden. He really loved these moments. I joined him and got closer. He then told me: <<Look at that grass blade. A man would not be able to reproduce such a thing, only nature can put that amount of perfection in such a small space>>. - Those fleeting moments will remain set like diamonds in the proverbial confusion of our mind, like enigmatic koan for beginners, at the service of my most deep awakening.

Cerca la bellezza, trova la tua riva Prova a salvarli tutti, ma non sanguinare più Hai tali oceani dentro di te Alla fine, ti amerò per sempre" - (The poet and the pendulum - Nightwish) -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- ENG The castle that crossed my path in May came without any attempt to find it, thanks to a handful of friends that chose a thunderous but sinuous place to hug once more. How many litres of water did this castle see? How many renewed friendships? How many fish trying to climb back up? And how many plants finding refuge on a non-eternal rock? Any amount given as an answer to these questions, would not last for the time needed to pronounce it. What I am writing, is already old. After all, this is life. "Sparkle my scenery With turquoise waterfall With beauty underneath The Ever Free [...] Search for beauty, find your shore Try to save them all, bleed no more You have such oceans within In the end I will always love you" - (The poet and the pendulum - Nightwish) L'occhio attento di alcuni di voi avrà notato che ad aprile nulla è stato pubblicato per la serie "un castello al mese". The careful eye of some of you might have noticed that nothing was published in April for the "one-castle-a-month" series. Indeed, the only castle that I met can hardly fit in the collection, but as it was the first to be somehow brought by my small niece, here it is :-) Un palcoscenico per i giochi dei bambini, proprio là dove il nonno mi portava da piccolo (Busto Arsizio, IT) - A stage for children's games, right there where my grandfather used to bring me when I was a kid (Busto Arsizio, IT) -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
